In his opening keynote address at the UD Forum on May 10, Zhou Wenzhong, China's ambassador to the United States, calls globalization "an irreversible historical trend," urges the U.S. to avoid protectionist trade measures and argues for bilateral agreements on shared concerns such as terrorism, cross-border crime, energy security, environmental degradation and arms proliferation.
