Environment Canada confirms reports of a funnel cloud in east-end Montreal on Wednesday afternoon. Witnesses sent several pictures into CTV News that show a cloud over the St. Lawrence River. Media reports say the cloud produced a waterspout, a phenomenon where the high, swirling winds suck water hundreds of feet into the air. Storm alert Environment Canada issued a storrm alert for 1:23 p.m. for Montreal and Laval.
