At the same time as the Gallery Weekend Berlin 2008 six art spaces open up in a warehouse situated directly behind the Hamburger Bahnhof - Museum f r Gegenwart and close to the new central railway station of Berlin. The art dealers Kristian Jarmuschek and Friedrich Look (Wohnmaschine) and the collector / gallerist Harald Frisch had the idea for the "Hallen am Wasser" near the Berlin-Spandau canal. The other galleries are Arndt & Partner, Andersen S Contemporary and Bodhi Berlin. Jarmuschek + Partner inaugurated their space with the young British artist Martha Parsey (born 1973 in London, lives and works in Cologne).
