Four CodePink mothers have been charged with trespassing at the Oakland Marine Recruiting Station and intimidating the U.S. Marines there. They could do up to a year in jail if convicted in a jury trial beginning this week. The four mothers - Pamela Bennett, Toby Blome, Medea Benjamin, and Zanne Joi - were jailed March 24 during a protest when they attempted to express their deep despair and profound anguish over the 4000th U.S. soldier death, the 1+ million Iraqi deaths, as well as the continued recruiting of youth. Four-minute QT movie. 54MB.
