The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly. We warm things up with the Vancouver trio, Pacifika (Silvana Kane, Adam Popowitz and Toby Peter) and their unique blend of flamenco, guitars, Caribbean grooves, Latin and Armenian folk music that conjures up rhythmic ocean waves crashing on warm sun shores. Vienna's Tosca (producers Rupert Huber and Richard Dorfmeister) are back with a nod to the King of Rock'n'Roll in this latest offering that shows off their trademark mastering of the tribal and dance floor beats into something that fills the body with an urge to move. Cranking things up this week is beauty queen turned singer Kristine W, whose voice speaks of power and soul and can swing from classy jazz standards to dance till you drop club anthems. DJ/Producer Jay-J is back with another track showing off his Midas touch when it comes to matching the right music with the right artists to create an infectious groove. Next up is Taxi Dolls as they take one part Blondie, mixed with equal parts of Garbage and The Chemical Brothers, to bridge the gap between electronic music, pop and rock into something they call 'Rocktronica'. Argentinean musician Alex Alvarez moved to Barcelona and was reborn as Killfish, but still holding to the influences of Deche Mode and Apex Twin mixed with his signature love of drum'n'bass.
