As members of The Palomar know, I have been rebuilding our sister site, Tuxedo Junction, since early April. Initially, I had hope to finish the rebuild by the end of April. Now, it looks like I'll finish it sometime in late May. This is important to members of The Palomar and its visitors because all of the big band broadcasts and individual songs you enjoy on The Palomar, as well as most of the images, are stored on my Tuxedo Junction web site: http://tuxjunction.net Because I moved Tuxedo Junction to a different web hosting company at the beginning of April, I have had to upload all of the song and broadcast files to the new web hosting company. All of the broadcast files are now online. I am still uploading individual song files and expect to complete that in a week or so. Today, Friday, April 18th, I built a new Palomar Playlist Player and embedded it near the bottom of this page. The music begins as soon as you arrive here. There are 100 selections (the maximum) embedded in this Playlist Player. It will take you days, if not weeks, to listen to everyone. The next step, as far as The Palomar is concerned, is to restore individual audio players to many of our Posts (or Entries, as I often call them). I plan to do a few each day in the weeks ahead as I work on the Tuxedo Junction rebuild. At some point, I may disable the automatic start feature of the Palomar Playlist Player. Otherwise, each time you visit here and read through the latest entries, you will have to scroll to the bottom, stop the Player, then go back to the top and click the "Play" button on the audio player in the entry you are reading. One of our members asked me tonight, "After hearing the same music several times, is it possible to skip over it to something else?" Yes, it is possible! And fairly easy. Scroll down to the bottom of The Palomar. Be on the lookout for the blue Palomar Playlist Player. You will see a tiny white rectangular scroll bar on the right-hand side of it. Use you cursor to move the tiny white rectangular scroll bar up and down the Playlist. When you see a broadcast you want to hear, click it! When that broadcast ends, the next one will begin. There are now 100 selections (the maximum) in The Palomar Playlist Player. Experiment with it. You can't hurt it! Have fun! Enjoy the music! I'm already planning to add a second Palomar Playlist Player just for Arnold Dean's great radio shows and a few other broadcasts. He has been kind enough to give me permission to feature them on The Palomar and Tuxedo Junction. Be on the lookout for the second Palomar Playlist Player!
