(MEDIA) ( - video content for those who skip text-only entries) These days I am reading The Sixth Language by Robert K. Logan. A quote that left me thinking: When a medium first appears, it uses the content of another medium exclusively for its content until its users have learned to exploid the new medium to develop new forms of expression. (p. 19) Forms of expression. New language. Video and audio. From me to you. Us. Through RSS we can communicate. Mind-hive; vloghive. What happens once we use videoblogging for real collaboration. Not just creatively, but also practically? Creative collaboration has been attempted many times, but I am more interested in the practical collaboration. Practical-creative. To me, screencasting will become a great way to share our tools for 'learning a living in the internet age'. Sharing tools, habits, mannerisms. Together with videoblogging, screencasting can become a powerful visual tool for sharing experiences. Instead of X person in a forum describing his problem with a certain part of his computer, and Y person describing in return how it could be fixed, both parts could communicate through visuals. Science fiction? Perhaps for most of us, but some of us will use this method. This blog represents my workshop where I experiment with these new media forms. My site will then represent some of the outcome.
