Went to a cool archery contest that has been taking place for hundreds of years at this temple in Kyoto today. Can't remember the name of the temple but it's sometimes referred to as the Temple of the Thousand Gold Buddhas, because, well, they have 1,000 golden buddhas there, in addition to other things. Pretty spectacular event really, everyone was all dressed up in ceremonial garb. The traditional archery was awesome to watch. Check it out here! I'm excited about this post because we went to the festival this afternoon and I'm making the video available tonight. Hopefully I'll be doing much more of that in the future.
