Fight clubs, video gaming, even school recess what is the difference today? Aggression is a blood sport for todays youth. Is youth aggression something new? No. But something has changed. Media, combining with aggression, is at the forefront of most every aggressive act. Fight clubs, or bum fights are not considered FUN, or validated, unless the acts are caught on video. Has WATCHING become an funny aggressive act? Should parents just say no, and send their kids outside and play! Are there solutions to these growing trends? Is media-watching the problem? No. Media is not the problem, it is the kinds of media being manufactured and consumed. Promote and support personal, healthy media. Grow your own.
