In this video (or what we like to call a Podlet) Laura is headed back to school. Only this time she heads to the Circus Center in San Francisco to learn to fly like the pros in Cirque de Soleil and other international shows. The Mission of Circus Center, founded in 1984, is to inspire passion for circus arts through training, performance, and community outreach programs. The best part is anyone can sign up for a range of classes including Chinese acrobatics and the country's only professional clown training program, the Clown Conservatory, which is partially funded by the National Endowment for the Arts. But, nooooo clowning for Laura. She went right to the rush of flying in the air (OK, she was strapped in a secure harness with a net below. A system she will also be bringing to our upcoming happy hour bar tours.) It's a good thing Laura isn't afraid of height or making fun of her physical abilities (disabilities). Scott Cameron, trapeze instructor extraordinaire, gained her trust (kina important here) while coaching her to pull off the ultimate accomplishment for a beginner. She also chats with a few students in the class to hear why someone would do this for fun and why aerobatic artists spend their life training for the giant tent. http://www.circuscenter.orgDownload Podcast Video
