Reps. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT), Bart Stupak (D-MI), Stephanie Herseth (D-SD), Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL) joined Sens. John Kerry (D-MA), Hillary Clinton (D-NY) and Chuck Schumer (D-NY) in calling on the Bush Administration and the Republican controlled Senate to reject the House?s recently passed energy legislation that does nothing to help families struggling to pay rising home energy costs this winter. Democrats have an alternative that would lower the price of home heating oil and natural gas.
