Announcing Participatory Video Channels

Announcing our new channels!

Ever been frustrated finding what videos are “hot” in specific topics ? Ever try to answer the question of where i can find video shows on technology is? or cooking? or San Francisco? Well, now you can answer those questions with Mefeedia’s new “participatory video channels”! Here is what is new:
Participatory

First and foremost, each channel is highly participatory, relying on users to add and remove appropriate shows for each channel (think Wikipedia for video). Once shows are added to a channel, each channel displays the most recent videos from those shows and the most recent activity on videos in those shows. Each channel is a multi-user, “ad hoc social network” where you can discover, watch, and share media with others that are part of that channel or your meeps, or both!

Video Memes / Vertical Video Communities

new_channel_example.jpgParticipatory media means following (and perhaps joining in) the conversation. Each of our channels is primarily activity-based, with the videos and shows that are most currently active rising to the top so you can quickly find the videos and shows that people in that channel are watching. You can also easily participate in the conversation right in the channels page, or as you are watching each video that is part of the channel.

Subscribe and Watch Anywhere

All of our channels feature RSS feeds and +Miro 1-click button for simple, easy subscribe so you can stay updated on all of the latest videos in each channel.

500+ Participatory Video Channels and Growing

Mefeedia currently have 500+ such channels created and more coming. To find a channel that may interest you, either browse channels or use our new channel search. Once you find a channel that you like, click on “Join Channel” and you will be part of that channel’s network!
