Second Life Tutorials - Installing the New version 1.15.0
When I tried to log in to Second Life the other day, a window popped up saying that downloading the new version 1.1.5 was required, but when I clicked on “download,” I just got an error message, and then Second Life crashed on me. (This happened a couple times in a row.)
Turns out, the new version was being downloaded to my desktop, but it wasn’t until I did a search for “Second Life” that I found the new version and installed it. (I threw the icon for my old version out, installed the new one, and dragged it to my toolbar.)
The Second Life Blog has more information about other issues with this release. Looks like they updated a lot of systems at once. Pretty gutsy undertaking!
So the point is don’t freak out, like I did for a minute :-) You just have to look around a little for the new “second life” file, and you’ll be up and running in no time.
