What percentage of TV is boring?
Verdi: “I have cable TV with approximately 250 channels. Almost all of those have programming 24/7. That’s 42,000 hours of programming a week! Now of those 250 channels, 240 of them have content that is so uninteresting to me that I don’t even bother to check what they are offering anymore. Of the 10 channels that I do watch I probably only watch about 10 hours each week. That’s 10 hours of stuff that interests me out of 42,000 hours of programming. That’s .02%! Even the average household which might have the TV on 6 hours a day would only get to watch 42 hours of programming a week. Even that is only .
1% of all the programming. So please don’t tell me most videoblogs are boring as if most TV is not.”
